I Sell My Soul to the Devil

I Sell My Soul to the Devil

By, Kaushik Paul

The setting sun betrays me bliss.
Shadow in my life, new moon does fill.
I accept the night with a kiss.
And I’m ready to sell my soul to the devil.

At those pages, I gaze for a while.
Sins and curses are on my bill.
I accept them all with a smile.
And I’m ready to sell my soul to the devil.

All my goodness and grace I sacrifice.
With my blood, I seal this deal.
I accept my punishment and rejoice.
And I’m ready to sell my soul to the devil.

A candle far away spreads light.
With each ray, darkness it does kill.
As an Angel, it asks me outright,
“Why should you sell your soul to the devil?”
